ABRUD - American Brotherhood for the Russian speaking disabled people, is the only non-profit organization in the United States, dedicated serving for the Russian speaking people with disabilities. ABRUD, in coalition with other organizations, is defending the social interests of the disabled immigrants, helps them to integrate and adopt themselves in the American society, to back up them in case of emergency, works for the full implementation and enforcement of disability nondiscrimination laws, particularly the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The site is a comprehensive online resource specifically designed to provide Russian speaking immigrants with disabilities with the information they need to know quickly. With just a few clicks, the site provides access to disability-related information and programs, including civil rights, education, employment, housing, health, income support, technology, transportation, and community life.
